“I believe that if, at the end of it all, according to our abilities, we have done something to make others a little happier, and something to make ourselves a little happier, that is the best we can do.” – Roger Ebert

Graduation Year: 2012
Major:Childhood Education/Special Education Dual

Three reasons brought Student Association Vice-President Brendan Peo to Saint Rose: the faculty, being well-known, and offering Childhood/Special Education. Hoping to continue on to Graduate School in Special Education with a focus on severe disabilities, Brendan tries to have as many experiences as possible. He says being part of Student Association is an honor.

“I find the special orders at meetings, oversee three SA Committees, and oversee three SA directors.” Being the Executive Assistant last year has really helped him this year, as well as his involvement with Student Government in High School.

One memory that has stuck in Brendan’s mind was his freshman year during Rose Rock of 2009. Say Anything was performing and “The quad was bumpin’!”

Brendan receives much encouragement from his Mother to become an educator, Diana Erben for the inspiration to be on the board, and Dr. Terri Ward for the inspiration to continue work in Special Education.

In his small amount of spare time, Brendan enjoys to travel. He also enjoys listening to John Mayer and Brad Paisley.

Brendan’s advice for life is: “Step outside your comfort zone. You’ll be amazed at what you may find!”
