Parking tickets paid. Period.

Want to get your parking tickets waived? Donate to the Period Product Drive! For every period product brought in between Nov. 14 and 17, one parking ticket will be waived by Campus Security. The drive is asking for pads and liners, tampons, menstrual cups, wipes, pain relievers, and anything else you can spare! Donations can be dropped off in the EAC outside of Starbucks.

Some Thanksgiving reminders!

Next week is Thanksgiving Break! The last day of classes is Nov. 22. Residence halls will close at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 and will reopen at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26. Classes resume on Nov. 27. Enjoy your break, Golden Knights!

Drag Ball in St. Joseph’s Hall

Saint Rose Identity and the Student Association are throwing a Drag Ball! Along with performances from queens Lexxi Pro, Typhoid Mary and Katarina Mirage, they’ll have a photo booth, a raffle basket, cupcakes, and performers ready for a final lip-sync that will be open to audience suggestions (so, come with your favorite song). Join them in the Saint Joseph Hall Auditorium on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Spring ‘23 class registrations

Spring 2023 classes are right around the corner! Undergraduate student registration will begin Monday, Nov. 14, at 9 a.m., and graduate student registration will begin Monday, Nov. 21, at 9 a.m. Double check that you have your Alternate Pin from your advisor so you can make sure you get registered for the winter and spring terms at your designated time.

Volunteer with Girls on the Run

Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity? The Office of Community Service is seeking volunteers for the Girls on the Run Fall 5K on Nov. 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Volunteer needs include helping with registration, setting up and breaking down the event, running the merch table, cheering on the runners, and more. Spring break trip to D.C.

Join the offices of spiritual life and community service on a spring break trip to Washington D.C. and spend your break giving back to those in need in the nation’s capital. Stop by the Interfaith Sanctuary to pick up an application or email Joan Horgan at horganj@strose.edu.

Find New Friends in Sanctuary

Come de-stress and meet other students at Finding New Friends, a weekly activity where you’ll be invited to prioritize calmness and joy. Activities will include baking, arts and crafts, games, and whatever else you want to do to cultivate good vibes for the week. Finding New Friends meets every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Sip and paint responsibly

Join RA (and Chronicle Sports Editor!) Laura in the Centennial Lounge this Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for an alcohol-free paint and sip! You’ll sip on delicious mocktails, paint a pretty picture, and learn about the dangers of alcohol.

21+ Luau in St. Joseph’s Hall

Hey, seniors! On Nov. 16, you’re invited to a luau-themed 21+ Night in Saint Joseph Hall Auditorium from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be free drinks, a pasta bar, bowling, and prizes. This event is for seniors only!

Senior portraits for Dec. grads

December grads, listen up: Saint Rose is offering senior portraits for you this year! iSmileStudios will be on campus on Tuesday, Nov. 29, and Wednesday, Nov. 30, to take your picture. Sign up through the link in this week’s In The Know to schedule your portrait. P.S. May grads, you’ll be hearing about your portraits in the spring.
