The Student Athlete Advisory Committee posted a challenge on Instagram as a way to promote athletes supporting other athletes. Attendance has been low across the board for all sports, and SAAC members and faculty are being proactive using this hashtag challenge to do so. The post read, “SAAC will be challenging all teams to attend as many games and sporting events as possible this spring semester! We will have a competition among all teams and the team that goes to the most games throughout the semester! We will judge this by teams posting a picture with their team on social media at games with the hashtag #goldenknightsunite. Your team MUST post and use the hashtag to count! We hope that EVERY Golden Knight accepts the challenge and supports one another this upcoming spring semester.” Jada Brown and Eddie Baker are leading this initiative with SAAC advisor Karen Haag. SAAC members are encouraging athletes on campus to participate and cheer on fellow athletes during their athletic games.
