Colson Baker, the well-known singer, rapper, and actor, Machine Gun Kelly, stars as Cal in the new movie, “The Last Son.” Alongside him is Sam Worthington playing Issac Lemay and Thomas Jane playing Soloman. “The Last Son” is an R-rated, western-style indie movie written by Greg Johnson and directed by Tim Sutton. Cal, Soloman, and Issac are going back to the 19th century in Nevada. Worthington is playing a role in which he is cursed by a prophecy, and decides to hunt down and kill all of his kin. Issac can determine who is in his bloodline due to a hereditary birthmark.
Unfortunately for Issac, he is being hunted by bounty hunters because of all the murders he has committed. Cal and Soloman will face many difficult and dangerous obstacles in order for them to find Issac and stop him from causing any more destruction in this small town. In this movie, blood connects a father and his son, and the father is determined to have blood tear them apart. Cal is determined to protect his significant other along with protecting himself and taking down his father.
“The Last Son” is also partnering with Redbox and has been working closely with the cast and crew since the beginning of filming. Galen Smith, the CEO of Redbox, stated, “With an outstanding ensemble cast, talented director, and an incredible story, we’re excited to be a part of this stellar production.” Director Tim Sutton has directed many amazing movies, and he is well known for creepy horror types of movies. He has won some awards for his films such as the Audience Award for his 2016 movie called “Dark Night.” Sutton is also known for having very aesthetically pleasing movies; they all have specific types and looks to each of them to fit the storyline.
Sam Worthington, the English-Australian actor, has also been a part of very successful movies. He has starred in all three “Avatar” movies and “Hacksaw Ridge.” These are only to name two. He was also nominated for multiple awards in his acting career. Kelly has become more and more popular ever since the debut of his most recent album, “Tickets to My Downfall” which was released on Sept. 25, 2020. He has won multiple awards for his music and his creativity in his music videos, such as an MTV Video Music Award for Best Alternative Video, Billboard Music Award for Top Rock Artist, and Album. “The Last Son” is only his second lead role in a movie, but he has also appeared in many movies including, “The Dirt,” “Big Time Adolescence,” and “Bird Box.” Although his music career is his main strength, he is definitely taking on good roles and performing very well in these movies. Colson Baker is a very diverse, outgoing person as seen with the tattoos he has covered his body in. He is a man of many talents as he has shown multiple times.
“The Last Son” is the most recent film for all of these actors. This movie should be a very successful movie. All of the actors and actresses have had very good careers, and they have performed very well for audiences. The film will premiere in theaters on Dec. 10 and will soon follow to become available on Redbox. Kelly has yet to advertise or release any types of teasers on social media as he has just concluded his tour and is in the middle of completing his sixth album.
