Darling, You’re Worrying Me

We’ve all come to love Harry Styles and his eccentric fashion and charming personality. However, drama between him as well as fellow cast members and director were brought to light after multiple accusations were made against him. From the time of Olivia Wilde’s film, “Don’t Worry Darling,” being announced in July of 2019 to today, things have clearly been shaky on all sides.

The film “Don’t Worry Darling” was officially released in theaters on September 23, but not without a few hiccups along the way. No one expected to be rooting for various sides of the drama, especially since when casting first started members and staff were excited to work together and even took pictures to post on social media.

It originally began when actress Florence Pugh, set to play Alice Chambers, wasn’t as active to promote being in the upcoming film, as rumors had spread that fellow actor Harry Styles was promised to make more money if he got the main lead. Obviously, once these spread fans were appalled at the fact that a popstar was signed for more money than people who have been in this business the majority of their lives. Some say that it’s because he’s worth more money than Pugh, compared at $90 million to Pugh’s $9 million, while others have stated this is a blatant act of misogyny from an acclaimed “feminist.”

In more recent events, a video circulating the internet of Harry Styles “allegedly” spitting on the lap of Chris Pine gained a lot of attention. A PR agent of Pine’s made a statement saying there was no such thing, but fans have differing opinions. Apparently, it was all in good fun but with Pine’s face changing so dramatically, it’s hard to say otherwise.

With Pugh arriving late to a press conference to Styles’ sister, Gemma, pulling him away from Wilde, it’s safe to say that this drama is nowhere near over.
