The Student Advisory Athletic Committee met on Nov. 12 in the Athletic Conference room to discuss and collaborate on changes in the future. Guest Speakers, Jen Richardson and Theresa Belfance from Student Development came to discuss student leadership on campus and listen to student athlete input on how to move forward to best meet the needs of students by recreating Student Association (SA). Students discussed ideas of making SA to be a place to have student voices to be heard and encourage student leadership on campus.
All of the athletic teams on campus are collaborating to raise money for the Pajama Drive to donate clothing for local children living in homeless shelters.
The Golden Knights Inclusion Committee created an Inclusion Statement that will be read at every home game before the National Anthem to emphasize the Athletic Department’s commitment to social justice and inclusion on campus.
The Hope Happens Here Committee is holding their last Just Athletes Talking Meeting on Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.- 8 p.m. in Standish A & B. The topic for the meeting will be preparing for finals and there will be food and drinks during the meeting.
