Saint Rose Competes in George Davis Invitational

Both the men’s and women’s sides of the track team of The College of Saint Rose put on quite the show at the George Davis Invitational at the UMass Lowell campus Saturday.
For the women, the 4×100 meter relay team of freshman Alicia Bousa, sophomore Stephanie Vance, and seniors Bridget Buckley and Jessica Razy set a school record with the time of 50.52 and finished third overall.
Razy and Bousa also ran the 400-meter dash, finishing second and fifth with times of 57.67 and 1:00.38 respectively. Senior Jordan Westcott ran a third place time of 11:36.26 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and fellow senior Soroya Hudson finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 11.51 meters.
For the men, sophomore Andrew Reifman-Packett set a school record as well with a time of 9:48.46 in the two-mile run as he finished thirteenth. Also, junior Eamonn Coughlin crossed the finish line in 1:55.94 to take second in the 800-meter run. Also, sophomore Michael Benson and junior Kyle Thompson were third and fourth respectively in the 110-meter hurdles with times of 15.63 and 16.04, while sophomore thrower Zach Noll took second with a discus toss of 44.84-meters.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights are scheduled to take part in Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invite on Friday, and then the Springfield College Invite on Saturday, April 19.
