Thanks to Saint Rose’s enthusiastic and welcoming tour guide team, we now have Student Association Comptroller Emily Wright. She keeps track of SA’s finances, works closely with the other directors, leads the the budget and grant process, and prepares all of the financial paperwork. Wright is very excited to have the opportunity to work with SA again.

Of all her memories here at Saint Rose, Wright’s fondest is that of Rose Rock 2009 with Say Anything as the headlining band. “I’ve never [seen] that many Saint Rose students in one place,” said Wright. “It was nice seeing so many students come together.”

Hoping to be a speech-language pathologist, Wright will be starting her Master’s in the Spring. Her older sister, a Ph.D. student in Cleveland, has been a huge influence on Wright. In high school, she attempted to always keep up with her and now in college, she can be her own person and set her own standards. Previous SA President Diana Erben was also a large influence and form of encouragement.

Wright’s favorite past times include ice hockey, as well as field hockey.

Wright’s advice for us is: “Do not focus on the outcome so much as the journey there. Take advantage of everything.”
