Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Paula Cole will perform Thursday, February 23 at 7:30 in the Kathleen McManus Picotte Recital Hall in the Massry Center for the Arts. The show, billed as “Backstage with Paula Cole,” will consist of not only a performance, but a conversation with the singer as well. Cole will hold a question-and-answer session for those in attendance about her musical career. The first three rows will be reserved for Saint Rose students.

Cole has been praised by her contemporaries. She has played alongside artists including: Peter Gabriel, the Counting Crows, and Matchbox 20, to name a few. Artists such as Katherine McPhee (star of NBC’s Smash) have covered her work. Her work covers a variety of genres, including adult contemporary, pop rock, and art rock. Her single “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone” reached Billboard’s Top Ten in the Hot 100 in 1997. The following year, Cole was awarded a Grammy as Best New Artist of the Year.

Tickets are $25 and are on sale now. Contact Sal Prizio at 518-337-4871, or send an email to concerts@strose.edu.
