The men’s basketball team traveled to compete against Daemen on Saturday Nov. 27. The men’s team were defeated with a score of 71-83. Fifth year Adam Anderson scored 16 points over the course of the game. The team suffered another loss against Pace on Dec. 1 with a score of 61-75. The men’s basketball team played against the University of New Haven on Dec. 4 and were defeated with a score of 54-65. The men played Southern Connecticut University and fell with a score of 69-85. The Golden Knights played against Saint Michael’s and were victorious with a score of 76-82.
The women’s basketball team competed against Pace on Dec. 1. The Golden Knights gave it their all, but ultimately fell with a score of 44-69. Naeva Rene and Ryley Blasetti both scored eight points each during the game. The women’s team won against the University of New Haven, outsourcing them 58-54 on Dec. 4. The team competed against Southern Connecticut University and lost with a score of 42-75. The women played Roberts Wesleyan on Dec. 10 and fell short with a score of 58-59.
The women’s soccer team competed in the NCAA East Region Final in West Virginia on Dec. 2. The women won with a score of 3-1 against Mercy. Kaelyn Britt, Mia Klammer, and Ciera Lundy scored all three goals of the game. The women won their second game in West Virginia against Concord University on Dec. 4 with a score of 3-2 in overtime. The women’s team won the final four game against Dallas Baptist with a score of 2-1.
The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams traveled to Ithaca for a three day swim meet from Dec. 3 to Dec. 5. The women placed seventh out of ten teams, and the men placed tenth out of ten teams. The team had many personal bests. Freshman Nathan Greene swam the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:02.39. Junior Brenna Hayes swam the 400 Individual Medley with a time of 4:45.10. Freshman Mia Stroub touched the wall with a 59.83 in the 100 butterfly. Mackenzie Mahoney swam the 200 freestyle for the first time and went a 2:54.36. Eric Romero Gomez finished his 100 backstroke in 53.82.
Men’s and women’s track and field competed on Dec. 5 at Southern Connecticut University. The men placed eighth, and the women placed ninth. Ja’Lil Reynolds, a freshman on the team, placed first in the high jump. On the women’s side, Jaelyn Howard placed fifth in the 200m dash.
