The women’s basketball team competed against Southern Connecticut State University on Jan. 31. The team lost in a close game with a score of 47-51. Aniya McDonald-Perry and Kaileigh Hunt both scored 10 points for the team. The Golden Knights played strong, scoring 16 points in the final quarter. On Feb. 1 the women played against the University of New Haven and were defeated with a score of 54-67. The team competed against Southern Connecticut State University on Feb. 7. The Golden Knights were defeated with a score of 54-60.
The men’s basketball team competed against the University of New Haven on Feb. 1. The men won with a final score of 72-67. Freshman forward Max Jusianiec was the top scorer of the game accumulating 39 points. On Feb. 7 the men faced Southern Connecticut State University and were defeated with a final score of 70-78.
The men’s and women’s track and field teams went to the New York University Invitational on Feb. 3 for an individuals meet. The following day they traveled to Utica on Feb. 4, and both teams placed 9th overall. Jamie Sullivan placed fourth in the 400m with a time of 53.16 and Reese Casinelli took third place in the 200-meter dash. From the women’s side, Adrianna Cieslak placed second in the pole vault clearing the 2.80 meter bar.
