Golden Knights basketball rundown

For the past two weeks the Saint Rose men’s and women’s basketball teams have been the only teams on campus competing. These games have been an opportunity for the student athletes to practice their skills and compete with other teams in the area.

Tuesday, Feb. 16 the women’s basketball team lost against Mercyhurst 54-70 at their home gym.

Wednesday, Feb. 17 both the men’s and women’s basketball teams competed. The women faced Mercyhurst again and lost 52-75. The men’s team was victorious with a ten point lead against Molloy with a final score of 73-63.

Monday, Feb. 22 the men’s team played against American International and struck another win with the score of 90-78.

The women’s team faced American International the next day, Tuesday, Feb. 23 and lost 50-58.

Wednesday, Feb. 24 the men lost against Molloy with a close score of 76-79. The same day the women traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts, to face American International once again. They lost 41-52 at the away game.

Friday, Feb. 26 the men’s basketball team played American International yet again and they played a close game but American International won by three points with a score of 79-76.

On Saturday, Feb. 27, the men’s team faced American International for the third time that week. They won by scoring 78-73. The women’s team competed against Gannon and lost with a final score of 62-56.
