The College of Saint Rose is planning on holding commencement ceremonies for the classes of 2020 and 2021 in May. In an email from Marcia White, interim president of Saint Rose, it was announced that, permitting that the condition of the COVID-19 pandemic does not worsen, that there will be three graduation ceremonies. Class of 2021 graduate students will have a ceremony on May 7 at 7 p.m., Class of 2021 undergraduate and students of the College Experience Program will have their ceremony on May 8 at 10 a.m., and Class of 2020 and students from that year’s College Experience Program will have their ceremony on May 8 at 3 p.m. Students are only allowed two guests because of the Time Union’s capacity, which is set at ten percent, which only allows for 1,300 people. Guests who have not completed the vaccination series will also need to obtain a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before the event. Graduates also need to sign up for commencement no later than April 16, and they must order their caps and gowns by April 9, which cost $72 for undergraduates and $81 for graduate students. More information about commencement can be found in the president’s email or on the college’s website at https://www.strose.edu/campus-offices/commencement/.
