The Dean of the Huether School of Business, Raj Aroskar, will be leaving his position at the College on Feb. 1 to begin another administrative position.

Before his time at Saint Rose, Aroskar worked as a professor and chairperson of the Department of Accounting and Finance at the University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire for 17 years before coming to the College in 2019.

During his employment at the University of Wisconsin, he contributed an article to a journal titled, “OTC Derivatives: A Comparative Analysis of Regulation in the United States, European Union, and Singapore” in a journal called “Review of Futures Markets” sponsored by the Institute for Financial Markets.

While at Saint Rose, Aroskar was a part of the approval process for the Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) degree as well as the creation of the Flex MBA program which partnered with Albany Law School to offer a new concentration in government affairs.

“We are grateful for Raj’s many contributions to the College,” wrote Provost Margaret McLane in an email to faculty.

The Dean of Mathematics and Sciences, Ian MacDonald, will be stepping in to fulfill Arsokar’s position as the Interim Dean of the Huether School of Business until June of this year.

A reception was held on Feb. 1 to thank Arsokar for all the work he has done at Saint Rose and to wish him well as he embarks on a new opportunity.
