Take a step inside, however, and you'll find lots of open space, walls painted a relaxing shade of canary yellow, and a noticeable amount of natural light.Quail Street Market Stands Strong Through ChangeALBANY- On the corner of State Street and Quail Street stands not only a convenience store, but an establishment that members of the community feel is their own. Since 1997, Quail Street Market and Deli has been a dependable place for residents' everyday needs.The lifestyle is better in AlbanyStudents may have a difficult time choosing a college when they are in their junior or senior year of high school. Some students change their minds when they realize that where they are is not where they belong. Neil Ingenito, Michelle Fancher and Jory Nierenberg are all students who decided to make this change and are able to compare multiple campuses, academic approaches and lifestyles.Gourmella's owner has to find time to sleepGourmella's Pizzeria and Deli has been a hotspot in Pine Hills for many college students, families and city workers for 25 years. John's older brother runs the family's two other Cusato restaurants.Dead Presidents Lounge Brings Color to the NeighborhoodBehind the plain beige exterior at 1092 Madison Ave. lies a riot of colors and art, home of the Dead Presidents Lounge. Dustin Horan, 30, is the owner and one of the artists at the Lounge, a tattoo shop and art gallery, which has been open for the past three years.A look back in time through Chapman's stained glassWalking into Chapman's Stained Glass Studio is like a step back in time. The operators of the shop at 212 Quail St., pride themselves on their craftsmanship.
