Saint Rose Camerata Concert Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month

The Saint Rose Camerata faculty chamber music ensemble will be playing their first concert of the season at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 in the McManus Picotte Recital Hall at Massry Center for the Arts for the College’s annual Family Weekend.

The concert is in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, featuring works by composers from Spain and South America performed by Heidi Skok, mezzo soprano; Yvonne Chavez Hansbrough, flute; Sherwood Wise, oboe; David Ciucevich, clarinet; Paul Evoskevich, saxophone; Young Kim, piano; Micah Scoville and Paul Quigley, guitar; Karlinda Caldicott, harp; Dan Foster, celeste.

The program consists of Histoire du Tango, flute and guitar by Astor Piazzolla, Siete canciones populares españolas by Manuel de Falla, Chôros No. 2 for flute and clarinet by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Sexteto Mistico by Heitor Villa-Lobos.
