Emerging student talent at Spring 2023 showcase

By EVAN RANDALL & ARTIST MANAGEMENT

On the 28th of April at 7 p.m., emerging artists Tandem Bike Riders and Viki will be showcasing their talents in Studio G3 inside the Hearst Center. This event is put on once every semester by the Artist Management class, and is free.  Both artists cover a wide range of genres that are sure to appeal to different musical tastes.

Tandem Bike Riders is a duo band that offers a unique take on the punk genre. Comprised of Saint Rose students Evan Randall on bass and Declan Fields on drums, they have a loud and energetic sound, and nonsensical lyrics. It’s easy to have a good time listening to the duo perform live. Tandem Bikes has had experience playing around Albany as well as in New York City, Vermont, and Western Massachusetts.

Viki is an experimental artist/instrumentalist who indulges in Psychedelic Jazz, Indie Folk, Electronic and Dream, showcasing her current Folk project and covers of some of her favorite artists such as Yebba and Sampha. Writing this set of songs has helped her to discover her subconscious, and heal from a heartbreak. Viki is from Bombay, India and has been a student at the College of Saint Rose for the past two years.
