Judgement Free Religious Meetings

Last Monday at the Hubbard Interfaith Sanctuary, students of The College of Saint Rose met in a spring introduction to converse about the College’s openness to various religions.
The meeting began with the participants removing their shoes, finding a chair, and participating in a moment of silence to say a prayer or think about what brought them to the sanctuary. It was no surprise that the majority of the room identified themselves as some form of Catholic; however, there was diversity in the group.
The discussion dealt with individuals’ personal beliefs, and people’s questions directed to the group for outside input. The group is planning a trip to a local mosque to further their understanding of religious views, and create a better and more welcoming atmosphere at The College of Saint Rose.
