Demi Lovato is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She recently released her new song called “You Don’t Do It For Me Anymore,” which many people have been talking about. When listening to the song you would probably think it is about a relationship, but many people have been debating this. In fact, Demi Lovato confirmed that the song was not about a relationship, but about her personal life and how she wants to be changed as a person. This song is amazing to listen to if you’re someone that has realized your mistakes and wants to change.
In the first verse of the song she says “I see the future without you, the hell was I doing in the past, now that I learned all about you, a love just like ours wouldn’t last.” In this first verse of the song Demi realizes that she no longer wants to a live life taking drugs and drinking alcohol. It was not only very powerful, but very influential to her fans as well. Demi Lovato has let all us know about how she is becoming a much better person for herself, and how she is going to deal with it.
In verse two, she talks about something a bit different, she says “Money won’t fi x your problems, you gotta fix them yourself, vices and pity won’t solve ‘em, stop feeling bad for yourself.” This verse demonstrates how she realizes that money won’t fi x her problems, and that she has to find a way to fi x them herself, she notices that money will not be the only way to gain her happiness and also importantly, to stop feeling so bad for herself because in the long run, that will only make things worse. This song gives such great advice to her fans who are listening because they can take her life learning lessons into their own experiences.
Then for the bridge of the song she says, “I’m sorry for honesty, I could not bear, to lie to you, to lie with you, I’m sorry for honesty, I’m well aware, I lie to you when I lie with you.” This part of the song has such great meaning, Demi describes how she is now going to continue to be honest with herself instead of being so naive. This is a new step into her life that she is willing to continue with, and along with doing that she is going to leave her old self behind, and is also having a new beginning with less lies. She is clearly aware of how she is going to be the person she wants to become.
This song is great for people who haven’t been honest with how they have been living their life. Demi Lovato gives a great explanation on that, she realizes that not only she is going to look forward with this, but is encouraging others as well. She has certain things in her life that needs to be changed, and this is a song that describes perfectly how you can change your life if you really want to. Demi Lovato never lets us down, and just keeps on getting better each time.
