American Horror story season 7 was released on September 5, on tuesday at 10:00pm. It was worth watching especially if you were someone who was affected by the presidential election of 2016. The show represents the nightmare of Donald Trump being president of the United States, and how the characters in the show reacted to the election individually. The actors did a great job at showing us how each of them reacted to the election in the beginning, and also towards the end, especially Ally and her wife, who watched the election together, Kai who watches the election alone, and Winter who is Kai’s sister that supports Hillary Clinton. As Kai was watching the election he started humping the tv while being on ecstasy and covered his face with cheeto puree to represent Donald Trump. While watching the show there are similarities that Kai and Donald Trump share such as, when Kai pees in a condom and throws it at Hispanic construction workers while saying racist remarks, the construction workers reacted, and attacked him while someone else in the background was recording. What was interesting about this scene was that Kai was saying racist remarks to hispanic workers and Donald Trump in the past has done the same. The election also affects Ally who has been acting very strange since the election, she has been seeing clowns everywhere especially when she goes grocery shopping, it turns into a disaster and she ends up seeing clowns having sex, and chasing her while nobody is to be found. Later on the police gets involved and there was no evidence of what Ally had saw at the grocery store. Not only ever since the election Ally has been hallucinating, but she has been destroying her relationship with her wife who thinks that she is going crazy and needs help. Winter volunteered to help Hillary Clinton’s campaign which because of that seems like she has a lot of tension with her brother. While watching it seemed like Winter and Kai had a deal about the election if whoever wins. She mentions in the show that she is scared of her brother, and that she does not have a good relationship with him. It seems on the show that Kai doesn’t have much of a good relationship with anyone and needs psychological help. This maybe that Kai is going to continue to do horrific things to bother his sister because she did not vote for Donald Trump, which leads to believe that Winter may get back at him if he continues to harass her about the election. This first episode of season 7 was a great way of showing how each of the characters reacted to the election and how much it affected their lives. It leaves off with Ally waking up in the middle of the night next to one of the masked figures instead of her laying down next to Ivy. This show has been very eye opening to viewers and opens up your mind more about the election of 2016.
